Job summary
Job Description What is the opportunity? Within RBC Investor Services (IS), the Market Services (MS) unit is responsible for driving revenue and NIAT through winning client activities in the markets space specifically, Foreign Exchange, Cash Products and Securities Lending. The mandate of this position is to support and manage all Market Services business management responsibilities by ensuring appropriate governance, compliance with policies/frameworks, and oversee issues, risks, audit and compliance items. The successful candidate will drive the effectiveness of the business or functional operating model by effectively partnering with functional resources including Finance, Risk, Legal, Strategy, Human Resources, Technology and Compliance. What will you do? Contributes to and oversees the Front Office Supervisory Program with a focus on regulatory supervision requirements, Regulatory Reporting, Client Documentation and Operational Risk programs globally. Develop, implement and assess operational risk controls in partnership with trading desks. Support requests for information from regulators. Point of contact for Operational Events impacting the TMS business. Work closely with IT and Front Office to automate and reduce inefficiencies related to Supervisory reviews and Risk Reports Maintain current inventory of procedures and inventory of all relevant policies and controls. Manage audit and regulatory items, operational risk controls and assessments, KYC, supplier risk management, and ensure compliance with risk appetite and regulatory requirements. Create and organize materials for multiple committees, such as the Supervisory and Oversight, Best Execution, FX execution committee. What do you need to succeed? Must haves: At least 5-7 years’ experience in trading conduct, compliance, regulatory reporting and governance roles Highly organized, proactive and self-motivated with ability to adapt and contribute a dynamic work environment and varied responsibilities Strong relationship management and communication skill and collaborative mindset Proven ability to independently manage multiple, high visibility initiatives Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Nice-to-have: MBA, CFA or post-graduate in a quantitative subject are nice to have. Sound financial market and technical knowledge, specifically of financial services and asset management industry.
