Job Responsibilities: Performing all technical aspects of dispensing of prescriptions, including receiving the order/refill, procuring complete and current information, computer entry, preparation and labeling in an efficient, accurate and timely fashion Identifying and referring any clinical questions to the pharmacists and management questions to the pharmacist manager or pharmacist on duty Maintaining current and accurate patient profile information Clerical duties including completing all records, documentation and patient or third party billings/charges, preparing receipts, invoices, letters, memos and general filling Demonstrating excellent customer service skills at the cash area Handling cash register and credit/debit card usage Scanning and filing prescriptions Assisting Pharmacy Manager and pharmacists by answering patient inquiries and requests over the phones Performing duties as assigned Qualifications: Pharmacy Assistant diploma and/or minimum of 2 years full time pharmacy experience Kroll data entry strong asset Retail pharmacy experience strong assets Bilingualism is an asset Skills: High level of attention to detail, accuracy and productivity Reliability, strong communication, organizational skills, customer service, initiative, team work, sound judgement, interpersonal skills are essential Commitment to high standards Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a faster pace environment Must have computer skills Human Resources: While we thank you for your interest, only select applicants will be contacted regarding the position.
