ABOUT THE TEAM Facility Management is responsible for maintaining and operating Red River College Polytech's facilities across multiple campuses. The department supports a safe, comfortable and reliable learning and working environment through preventative maintenance, repairs, sustainability initiatives and capital renewal activities. The team works collaboratively with academic departments, ancillary services, contractors and service providers to ensure critical building systems operate efficiently and effectively. WHAT YOU WILL DO This position is responsible for making Corrective Maintenance repairs to heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment to keep the college equipment operating properly, as well as performing Preventative Maintenance to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for students, staff and visitors, as well as support for ancillary programs such as Food Services. WHAT YOU WILL BRING Red Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Certificate of Qualification Valid Manitoba Gasfitter B License Valid Manitoba Limited Electrical M-G License MOPIA Certificate Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver's License Knowledge of HVACR system troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations related to building operations Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement NICE TO HAVE Openness to using AI tools as relevant to role specific work Ability to use AI tools to support operations Experience with geothermal systems Experience with heat pump technology Experience servicing air handling units, heat recovery ventilators and rooftop units Experience working in an institutional, educational or large commercial environment WHY WORK WITH US At RRC Polytech, we believe our people are our greatest assets. Salary Range for this position: $72,800 - $102,606 per annum Generous Paid Vacation: full-time employees accumulate a minimum of 15-days vacation per year, increasing to 30 days with service, while full-time Instructors accumulate 44 days per year.
