Most importantly, you’ll champion quality and compliance at every stage of production to help us consistently deliver safe, high-quality products that meet our standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Review and verify daily records completed by operations staff, ensuring all corrections are accurate, timely, and well-documented. Compile complete batch records to confirm that all required processes, tests, and assessments have been performed on schedule and meet specifications. Maintain high-quality documentation in compliance with applicable guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Perform Quality Control duties when QC Technicians are unavailable, including product checks and sanitation verifications. Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and SOPs. Evaluate materials and equipment for suitability before purchase. Support the receiving process for raw materials, supplies, equipment, and packaging components. Assist with training and re-training of production personnel. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. Support investigations into consumer complaints, deviations, and out-of-specification (OOS) results. Prepare and organize documentation for internal and regulatory audits. Assist in creating, revising, and maintaining controlled documents. Participate in inventory counts and related verification activities. Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Supervisor or Quality Manager. Requirements 1–2 years of experience in a quality-related role within the cannabis, food, pharmaceutical, natural health product, or nutraceutical industries is considered a strong asset; other relevant experience and education will also be considered. Bachelor of Science degree or a certificate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (or equivalent education) is an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail, particularly in document and data review. Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn new systems such as QMS, ERP, and MES platforms. Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, whether standing or sitting for extended periods. Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on additional duties and cross-train in new areas. Experience in any of the following areas is considered an asset: document and data review, Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality inspections, quality control, technical writing, analytical testing, Cannabis Act and Regulations, complaint management, corrective and preventive action (CAPA), HACCP, or risk assessment. Flexibility to occasionally work variable shifts, starting as early as 7:00 a.m. or ending as late as midnight, if needed to cover for other Quality team members or address unexpected issues that may arise. Why Rubicon? Rubicon Organics is Canada's leader in premium, certified organic cannabis and a fast-growing company with strong momentum, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. You'll join a collaborative, high-performing team that values accountability, speed, and continuous improvement, where you'll have direct visibility into the results of your work and the chance to learn and contribute across multiple functions. It's a quality-driven culture where innovation, ownership, and growth are at the heart of everything we do. Base salary of $45K–$55K. Annual performance bonus of up to 10%. Monthly phone stipend of up to $70. Comprehensive medical and dental benefits after three months. Hybrid role, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week. Annual 3-week vacation to start. Free on-site secure parking. We believe hiring should be a human process.
