Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) position in our Laboratory. The primary location for this position is: Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Key Responsibilities Required to collect, prepare, label and refer laboratory specimens; Perform phlebotomy and ECG procedures; Clerical duties as applicable. Qualifications Completed post-secondary course at an officially recognized community college or technical institution related to phlebotomy or Medical Laboratory Assistant Program; Certified Medical Laboratory Assistant (OMST) required; 2 years' experience in phlebotomy in a hospital environment; Excellent communication skills and the ability to deescalate and provide a positive patient experience; Possess solid technical skills for phlebotomy and ECG collection, including preparation and processing of specimens and patient documentation; Knowledge of ECG billing in Cerner and MUSE application; Professional behavior and communication that meets the standards of the professional regulatory college or association, as applicable Other Pertinent Conditions As per the OPSEU Salary Grid ($32.59 per hour to $37.26 per hour) Applying To This Position If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in applying for the position, please click on APPLY NOW and submit a resume detailing your qualifications.
