Front Desk Attendant Chilliwack, BC | Casual $22.15 per hour (plus $1.20/hour overnight shift differential when applicable) Ruth & Naomi's Mission is seeking warm, dependable, and professional Front Desk Attendants to join our team at the Family Centre. As the first point of contact for residents, program participants, visitors, community partners, and guests, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment. This position combines reception and access control responsibilities with participant engagement, de-escalation, safety monitoring, and facility support in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where every shift is different. What You'll Do • Welcome residents, participants, visitors, and community partners with professionalism and respect • Manage front desk operations, access control, phone calls, and visitor check-ins • Monitor building activity and respond calmly to safety concerns and incidents • Apply de-escalation techniques to help maintain a safe environment • Complete incident reports, shift logs, and other required documentation • Conduct regular patrols and monitor CCTV systems • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area and common spaces • Support staff and participants with day-to-day operational needs What You'll Bring • Minimum one year of experience in a front desk, client support, security, or community services role • Experience working with vulnerable populations is highly preferred • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations • Strong observation, problem-solving, and documentation skills • First Aid, De-escalation, and Naloxone training (or willingness to obtain) • A compassionate, respectful, and team-oriented approach Compensation & Benefits • $22.15 per hour • Additional $1.20/hour overnight shift differential when applicable • Employer-paid extended health benefits (for eligible full-time employees) • RRSP matching program (for eligible full-time employees) • Education and training opportunities Why Join Us?
