The Stationary Engineer Class 2 will be responsible for : The operation of boilers, monitoring of various parameters such as: pressure gauges, flow meters, air flow indicator, water, temperature and pressure, certain compressors and pumps; The continuous monitoring of these equipments implies visual tours of the equipments and supervision by visual control by consulting the different control panels to start or stop the boilers and to comply with the variable load conditions; Ensure the quality of the boiler feed water (water tests) and, if necessary, add the products required to treat the water according to the recommended standards for the plant; Apply safety rules specific to the thermal plant; Maintain accurate records on fuel consumption (operations, natural gas, bunker); He/she will also have to perform first level mechanical maintenance and lubrication on boilers, pollution control devices and other machinery to heat and power buildings, industrial plants and other workplaces.
