As a Business Advisor, you will strengthen the financial success and resilience of business members by building trusted relationships, delivering proactive financial advice, and providing tailored business banking solutions that help businesses start, grow, and thrive. What you’ll do: Build and manage a portfolio of business members by providing proactive advice, tailored financial solutions, and ongoing relationship management to support long-term business success. Develop new business relationships through networking, referrals, community involvement, and business development activities. Identify opportunities to meet members’ banking, borrowing, cash management, and operational banking needs while making referrals to internal specialists as appropriate. Negotiate and structure commercial lending solutions within established lending authorities, balancing member needs with sound risk management practices. Underwrite, administer, and monitor a commercial lending portfolio, including credit analysis, loan reviews, and portfolio management activities. Analyze financial statements, business performance, collateral, and market factors to evaluate lending opportunities and prepare credit recommendations. Serve as the primary point of contact for business members, delivering an advice-based experience through in-person, virtual, and on-site meetings. Represent SASCU in the community through educational seminars, workshops, networking events, and presentations that strengthen business relationships and financial literacy. Collaborate with branch staff and internal partners to deliver seamless business banking solutions and an exceptional member experience. Achieve portfolio growth, retention, referral, and member satisfaction objectives while maintaining compliance with policies, regulations, and industry best practices. What you’ll bring: 2 years of post-secondary education or equivalent, and completion of required business lending courses within 18 months. 4-5 years of related lending and advisory service experience. Access to reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to any SASCU related business location. Proven sales skills and a passion for member education and advice. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Comfortable with digital tools and financial systems.
