About the team The Investment Services team manage over $9 billion in assets primarily used to fund teacher benefits. Our investment professionals use their financial skills to perform the day-to-day operations of the investment program. What you’ll do The Investment Analyst, Real Assets supports the Real Assets investment program (primarily real estate and infrastructure) through investment sourcing, due diligence, portfolio analysis, performance monitoring, and internal reporting. Responsibilities include: Conduct due diligence on investment managers and strategies, providing recommendations aligned with portfolio objectives and investment strategy. Support fund manager agreement negotiations. Support portfolio construction and investment mandate design, including preparation of materials for internal committee review and decision-making. Engage with investment managers through regular review meetings, including onsite meetings and strategic reviews as required. Monitor external manager performance and mandate compliance. Deliver quarterly reporting and portfolio insights, including manager tear sheets, watchlists, valuation summaries, and other ad hoc reports. Perform other related duties and assume additional responsibilities as the role and business needs evolve. What you’ll bring Undergraduate or graduate degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or a related field, combined with 3–5 years of relevant investment experience. A relevant professional designation (e.g., CFA, CAIA), or progress toward obtaining one, is considered an asset. Knowledge of financial markets and industry-recognized investment performance standards is a key requirement. Knowledge of real assets investing, particularly real estate and infrastructure; institutional investment experience is an asset. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate investments and synthesize complex information. Knowledge of industry practices related to investment due diligence, performance monitoring, and reporting. Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with external managers and internal stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot), and other financial industry applications. What we offer A competitive salary range of $95,768.40 - $116,025.
