The Position The Project Officer provides administrative and coordination support to the Maintenance Department, focusing on financial tracking, grant management, asset digitization, and operational efficiencies through system implementation. Responsibilities: * Track financial expenditures and maintain spreadsheets for capital and grant-funded projects. * Assist with compiling and submitting internal and external reports. * Manage recurring work orders and ensure appropriate documentation. * Support asset management through data entry and digitization of records. * Facilitate the implementation and optimization of the Yardi Voyager system to streamline maintenance operations. * Prepare quote packages for management approval and follow up on outstanding items. * Assist in drafting and compiling materials for grant applications. * Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Maintenance and Projects Manager or designate. Education and Experience: * Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. * Minimum two (2) years of administrative or project coordination experience, preferably in housing, property management, or construction. * Experience with Yardi Voyager is required. * Proficiency in Excel and other data-tracking software is required. * Experience working within a governance structure in a community development capacity with First Nations; familiarity with First Nations culture and history is considered an asset. Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: * Strong organizational and time management abilities. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and tracking. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. * Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. * Receptive: accept feedback, take ownership of responsibilities, and identifies areas of growth. * Interpersonal Skills: communicates clearly, seek solutions, and demonstrates flexibility. * Integrity: keep sensitive information confidential and adheres to STC’s policies. * Initiative: seeks opportunities for further development. Other: * Must possess a valid driver’s license (class 5), have reliable transportation, and meet STC’s insurance requirements. * Must provide a current, original, Canadian Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment.
