Job summary
Duties Participate and collaborate with other health care providers in the provision of patient care. Effectively use the Standards of Nursing Practice and the Nursing Process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of the patient. Provide health teaching to patients and family. Responsible for accurate collection of patient care data and the completion of the Functional Independence Measures form with this data. Qualifications Certificate of competency in Ontario. Demonstrated competencies related to IV Therapy. Knowledge Demonstrated clinical competencies in managing all categories of restorative and rehabilitative care patients. Experience and/or knowledge of the Functional Independence Measures form. Knowledgeable in the utilization and care of all mechanical equipment required for patient care. Ability Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of nursing staff including non-regulated health care workers to achieve positive patient outcomes. Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain successful working relationships; ability to meet and interact with people in a pleasant, professional, responsible and reassuring manner, both in person and on the telephone; tact, courtesy and alertness in public contacts. Demonstrated behaviour consistent with the hospital’s mission statement and iCcare Way.
