Company: SAWW Developments Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario About the Role SAWW Developments is seeking an accomplished Vice President, Design-Build to lead the growth of our Design-Build business across Canada. This executive leadership role is intended for a highly connected construction professional with a proven ability to identify, pursue, and secure Design-Build opportunities in both the public and private sectors. The successful candidate will leverage an established network of owners, developers, consultants, architects, engineers, and industry partners to build a strong pipeline of negotiated and competitive work. This position is focused on business development, strategic pursuits, and preconstruction leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership to expand SAWW Developments' Design-Build portfolio while establishing long-term client relationships and strategic partnerships. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the company's national Design-Build growth strategy. Source and secure Design-Build opportunities across commercial, institutional, healthcare, municipal, industrial, and private sectors. Build and maintain relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, consultants, project management firms, and public-sector clients. Identify opportunities early in the planning and procurement stages and position the company for successful pursuits. Lead Design-Build pursuits from opportunity identification through proposal submission, client presentations, negotiations, and award. Assemble and coordinate pursuit teams, including design consultants, key trade partners, and internal preconstruction staff. Collaborate with estimating and executive leadership to develop competitive proposals, budgets, value engineering solutions, and technical submissions. Establish strategic partnerships that strengthen the company's ability to pursue complex Design-Build projects. Represent SAWW Developments at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to expand the company's market presence. Contribute directly to revenue growth, awarded contract value, and long-term backlog. Qualifications Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial construction, preconstruction, business development, or executive leadership. Demonstrated success sourcing and securing Design-Build opportunities. Strong understanding of Design-Build procurement, preconstruction, budgeting, and proposal development. Established network of owners, developers, architects, engineers, consultants, project managers, and decision-makers across the construction industry. Experience developing strategic client relationships that generate negotiated and repeat business. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
