Posting Number: T7-4066663 - Round 1 Description: English & Career Education, Grades 7-8 Location: Laurie Middle School, Cranbrook, BC Contract Type: Part-time Temporary(0.571 FTE) Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $40,193 to $67,726, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. Benefits: We offer a competitive benefits package and pension. Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay). Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification. Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each posting. Job Summary English & Career Education, Grades 7-8 0.571 FTE temporary contract, starting September 8, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process to June 25, 2027. Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience at the Intermediate level. Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in English and Career Education. This position is scheduled to include English 7 and Career Education 7 and 8. Please note that all work will be on site. Please note: Continuing teachers will need to vacate their continuing assignment in order to accept a temporary assignment, unless the FTE is greater in the temporary job posting.
