The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift or other equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ JOB RESPONSIBILITIES_x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Receiving/Put-Away:_x000D_ _x000D_ Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations._x000D_ _x000D_ Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Quality:_x000D_ _x000D_ Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage._x000D_ _x000D_ Report quality variances._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Order Picking:_x000D_ _x000D_ Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped._x000D_ _x000D_ Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Loading:_x000D_ _x000D_ Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars or trailers._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Equipment:_x000D_ _x000D_ Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment._x000D_ _x000D_ Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put away, and load functions, as required._x000D_ _x000D_ Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion._x000D_ _x000D_ On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment._x000D_ _x000D_ Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Inventory:_x000D_ _x000D_ Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained._x000D_ _x000D_ Assist in physical inventories._x000D_ _x000D_ Ensure proper stock rotation._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ Security:_x000D_ _x000D_ Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area._x000D_ _x000D_ Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse._x000D_ _x000D_ Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety._x000D_ _x000D_ Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards._x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ JOB REQUIREMENTS_x000D_ _x000D_ Preferred education level is a High School Diploma or GED._x000D_ _x000D_ Must have at least one year experience operating a forklift._x000D_ _x000D_ Must be able to do basic math functions such as adding, subtracting and dividing._x000D_ _x000D_ Must be able to read orders for picking and staging of products._x000D_ _x000D_ Must be able to complete the pre-shift inspection forms.
