Role Description This full-time, on-site Hairstylist role is based at Scruples Salon & Spa in the greater Toronto, ON area. The Hairstylist will consult with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable styles and treatments, and perform services such as cutting, coloring, styling, and hair care treatments. Daily responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized workstation, adhering to salon health and safety standards, and managing appointment schedules. The role also involves educating clients on hair care products, building strong client relationships, and contributing to a positive team environment within the salon. Qualifications Formal hairstyling education or certification from a recognized cosmetology or hairstyling program. Proficiency in haircutting, hairstyling, and basic to advanced coloring techniques. Knowledge of current hair trends, products, and treatments, with a commitment to ongoing skill development. Strong client service skills, including active listening, consultation, and professional communication. Ability to work on-site full-time, including evenings and weekends as required by salon scheduling. Attention to hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards in a salon environment. Experience in a salon or spa setting is an asset; familiarity with booking systems and retail sales is beneficial. Valid license or registration as required by local regulations in Ontario.
