Job summary

Description Looking for a job that allows you to work in a corporate environment, with a multiple clients and projects. The main function of the Scribe position is to document the results of a HAZOP during the meeting. The duration of a HAZOP session is typically 1-5 days from 7:30 am to 5 pm. Most HAZOPs are located either at our office or at the clients office/site. You must be able to travel throughout Western Canada. There may be travel on Sundays to places such as Regina, Estevan, Edmonton, Grande prairie and Whitecourt. The travel is necessary as the HAZOP will be start at 8 am the next morning. Travel time and travel expenses are reimbursed. The position requires a candidate that is available 1-5 days a week, this may vary from a full week to potential only 2 days the next week. Schedule is known in advance to give you time to prepare for the dates. We are looking for candidates that can be flexible with the schedule. SDS is looking for a long term candidate that would like to be a part of the team. Technical Skills · Typing skills (40+ words per minute). · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). · Working knowledge of online conferencing programs. (Microsoft Teams, GoToMeeting, etc.). · Fluent in English Language. · Able to follow a technical discussion and capture the content based on the direction of the facilitator. · Attention to detail. · Professional accurate typing capabilities. Business Skills · Able to manage own work load. · Able to interact with customers when required and to promote the SDS Consulting brand. · Professional and able to develop and maintain relationships with clients. · Must be able to handle stress and meet deadlines. · Must have good time management skills. · Post-secondary education, certification or related experience. Accountabilities · Set up meeting room. · Ensure presentation and files are ready. · Ensure all information is filled out in full detail. · Ensure that meeting minutes are professionally written, detailed and accurately recorded. · Document the discussion and the results of the Process Hazard Analysis accurately. · Proactively responds to customer information requests promptly and accurately. · Able to travel when required.
