We are currently looking for an Electrical Estimator to join our Head Office in Southeast Calgary. This full-time position will report to the Pre-Construction Manager and will play an integral role in providing accurate and timely estimates. Once the job is won, this individual will participate in pre-construction meetings and project close-out meetings. Responsibilities Assemble quantity take-off and quotations Identify potential cost savings solutions Estimate project costs and submit tenders Estimate changes Identify potential business opportunities Establish, maintain, and build effective, long lasting relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, engineers, and contractors in the industry Work with project leads to review project documents On completion of project, review performance at project close-out meeting Qualifications Electrical trade certificate required Minimum 2-3 years experience in commercial estimating Experience with Accubid estimating programs. Experience with Accubid Anywhere considered an asset. Experience using Bluebeam an asset Ability to multi-task and prioritize to ensure deadlines are met Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrate ability to gather and analyze information with an aptitude for critical thinking Strong communication and relationship building skills Excellent organizational and time management skills We provide an excellent working environment, competitive salary, comprehensive benefits plan, RRSP plan, training and development opportunities, fun work events, and an enviable work-life balance. What you’ll do

The Electrical Estimator is responsible for assembling quantity take-offs, submitting tenders, and identifying cost-saving solutions. They also maintain relationships with industry suppliers and participate in pre-construction and project close-out meetings.

Requirements

Candidates must possess an electrical trade certificate and 2-3 years of experience in commercial estimating. Proficiency with Accubid is required, while experience with Accubid Anywhere and Bluebeam is considered an asset.
