Position Summary

This position is actively involved in the financial operation and success of an operation by providing financial planning, decision support, management updates, managerial & financial reporting and maintain internal controls.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitoring automatic financial entries
• Preparing and posting auxiliary entries to ensure the correct recording of financial transactions within the period in accordance with relevant accounting guidelines including, but not limited to US GAAP
• Assisting with Annual Budgets and monthly forecasts
• Working with the Sr. Finance Analyst and Managers to ensure all financial transactions meet audit requirements
• Preparing reports and schedules for external and internal auditors as needed
• Presenting Monthly Financial and Operational reports
• Preparing additional financial information as required to support the operation and decision analysis
• Other duties as assigned

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• The position may require overseeing the work of other accountants and analysts and providing guidance and leadership to other areas of the business.
• Working with Financial leadership team to develop a financial plan for the operation which contributes to the overall financial goals of the organization

Qualifications

• Post Secondary Education in Accounting or Business Management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant experience in report preparation for various business-minded stakeholders
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel
• Analytical with a strong sense of both process and presentation
• Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing requirements

Typical Physical Demands

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires constant data input for extended periods of time without leaving the work area. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Requires mobility sufficient to travel.
