TITLE: Founding Full Stack AI Engineer - Part-Time Contract (option to convert to FT) INDUSTRY: Stealth AI / Healthcare Technology LOCATION: Remote Across Canada SALARY: Part Time Contract to Full Time role + Early-Stage Equity About You: You’re a senior full stack engineer who has shipped AI-powered products into production and is interested in making a meaningful impact on an early-stage product on a part-time basis. You’re comfortable operating across the stack, from product interfaces and backend systems to LLM integrations and agentic workflows. You’re looking for a high-impact part-time contract where you can work closely with an experienced AI Lead and contribute at a founding engineering level without committing to a full-time role. About Our Client: Our client is a stealth AI health tech company building next-generation technology for clinical mental health therapy and patient support. They are developing responsible AI products for high-trust, sensitive environments where reliability, security, and user experience are critical. This is an opportunity to contribute at the founding engineering stage and have a direct impact on the product and technical foundations. Responsibilities: Build and ship AI-native product experiences from 0→1. Own high-impact features across frontend, backend, APIs, infrastructure, and AI integrations. Partner closely with the AI Lead on agentic and multi-step AI workflows. Integrate LLMs, RAG pipelines, AI agents, and orchestration systems into production applications. Build scalable backend services and APIs primarily in Python. Develop systems with strong reliability, security, observability, and handling of sensitive user data. Help establish the technical foundations of an early-stage AI product. Qualifications: Strong full stack engineering experience building and shipping production applications. Experience building production LLM-powered products, including agentic or multi-step AI workflows. Experience building healthcare technology handling PHI within HIPAA-regulated environments. Strong understanding of secure architecture, data privacy, access controls, and auditability. Strong backend engineering experience with Python and APIs, alongside modern frontend development. Experience with LLM APIs, RAG systems, and AI orchestration frameworks. Ability to operate with significant autonomy and ownership in a 0→1 startup environment. Compensation Range: Competitive part-time contract rate based on experience and availability. Potential for meaningful early-stage equity. Fully remote across Canada.
