Permanent, Part-time, Hourly Drayton Valley Retirement Residence, 3902 47 Street, Drayton Valley, AB T7A 0A2 The Opportunity We’re looking for a Care Attendant. This role will make a difference every day in the lives of our residents by providing exceptional care, memorable moments by nurturing relationships with our residents and providing safety and wellbeing of our residents and their families’ and other staff. What You’ll Do * Provide person-centered care services to residents ensuring professionalism, dignity and compassion with each interaction of Seasons’ residents * Safe medication administration (training provided by Seasons) * As part of the care team, follow infection control measures (per Company's policies/procedures) to enhance the safety and wellbeing of residents and staff * Provide assistance with housekeeping tasks and laundry of residents as assigned * Respond to medical/physical/emotional needs with collaboration from Health and Wellness Manager * What You’ll Bring * Registered with and in good standing with the College of License Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA) – (Alberta Candidates only) * Knowledge of medical equipment is considered an asset (blood pressure machine, oximeter, glucometer- and/or the ability to learn these skills with training) * Provide compassion, empathy and understanding of Seasons’ residents * Communicate effectively following written and verbal instructions * Strong ability to organize and prioritize workload throughout scheduled shift * Current First Aid and CPR certification * What We Offer * A safe, inclusive workplace where you’re supported and appreciated * Competitive compensation and benefits * Opportunities for leadership development and career growth * A warm, welcoming culture inspired by our vision of making people’s lives better, driven by our mission to create happy, healthy, and meaningful lives for our residents * Additional Requirements * Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory. * Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required. Requirements
Must be registered with the College of License Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta. Requires current First Aid and CPR certification, along with a clear criminal background check and mandatory Covid-19 vaccination.
