Securicare is seeking Healthcare Security Officer to support our healthcare security operations in Whistler within the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) portfolio. Retention Allowance $1000 Open to relocating to Whistler? Securiguard is hiring full-time Healthcare Security Guards to support our Vancouver Coastal Health portfolio in Whistler. We value our team and want to reward commitment! Eligible employees can receive the following bonuses: After successfully completing the 90-day probationary period eligible employees will receive a $500 signing bonus, plus an additional $500 after 6 months of continuous employment. Bonuses are paid to employees who are actively employed at the time of payout. Full details of eligibility and conditions will be included in your employment agreement. Pay Rate: $24.5/hr Location: Whistler Health Care Centre Duties & Responsibilities Valid BC Security Worker Licence. Valid Advanced Security Training (AST) certification is an asset. Previous security experience; experience in healthcare, hospital, or other high-risk environments is considered an asset. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. Confidence using de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques in challenging situations. Strong situational awareness, judgment, and ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to write clear, detailed, and professional incident reports. Basic computer skills and comfort working with electronic reporting and security systems. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with healthcare and security teams. Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Post-secondary education in Police Foundations, Criminal Justice, Community Justice Services, Law Enforcement, or a related field is considered an asset.
