Job Title: Registered Psychotherapist — Independent Contractor, Fully Virtual Company Description: Sedâ Psychotherapy is a virtual psychotherapy clinic providing services to individuals and relationships across Ontario. The practice is built on anti-oppressive and systemically oriented values, aiming to offer inclusive, affirming care to clients from diverse backgrounds. Team members collaborate to support clients through a wide range of mental health and relational concerns. Sedâ Psychotherapy emphasizes ongoing learning, reflection, and ethical practice to create a safe therapeutic environment. The clinic is fully remote, using secure online platforms to deliver accessible care. Role Description: This is a remote, contract Psychotherapist role providing individual and relationship counselling via secure virtual sessions, including assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing psychotherapy. Day-to-day tasks include conducting intake assessments, delivering client-centred and evidence-informed interventions, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and coordinating care as needed. The role involves collaborating with colleagues for case consultation, participating in clinical discussions, and adhering to professional, legal, and ethical standards. The associate is expected to be available for a minimum of one daytime and one evening/weekend shift. The associate can expect to receive referrals from the clinic while also being encouraged to seek their own referrals. Qualifications Current registration in good standing with a relevant Ontario regulatory body (e.g., CRPO, CPO, College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Nurses of Ontario with psychotherapy authorization); RP or RP-Qualifying with CRPO preferred Master's degree in psychotherapy/counselling Strong foundation in psychology and mental health, with demonstrated ability to assess and treat a range of emotional and behavioural concerns Experience working with individuals and couples or other relationship constellations Experience or training in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and systemically oriented approaches to psychotherapy Ability to provide therapy via secure virtual platforms (e.g., Jane App, Zoom), with strong digital literacy and reliable internet access Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to build rapport and maintain therapeutic alliances remotely Commitment to ongoing professional development, self-reflection, and ethical practice Preferred Qualifications Training and/or experience working with neurodivergent clients from a neuro-affirming lens Training and/or experience working with gender-diverse and 2SLGBTQIA+ populations Training and experience in couples/relational therapy (e.g., Couple and Family Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, postmodern/systemic modalities) Training and/or experience in sex therapy Farsi/Persian-speaking applicants What We Offer Access to regular clinical consultation and team meetings Referrals and opportunities to expand your caseload Guidance on professional growth Fully remote work Flexible hours, determined by you Competitive split-rate, based on years of experience Company email address Marketing and advertising support Practice software included Direct billing for clients To apply, please visit our website and submit the application form provided: sedapsychotherapy.com/work-with-us
