That’s why this has to be the right person, and why fluent, native-level English is vital. What you’d own · Full-cycle accounting, month-end close, financial statements, and consolidated reporting across the group · Cash flow, working capital, project costing and margins on long-cycle contracts, our banking relationships, and the finance systems · FX hedging on a mixed CAD/USD cost base, capital allocation, support on acquisitions and real estate, and the financial case for our growth in the US. What were looking for · A CPA- Ideally trained in public practice or audit (the old “CA” route) · Ability to manage a staff of 4-5 people · Seven to twelve years of progression behind you- senior accounting, assistant controller, · A genuine track record of success · Native or near-native English. Every client we have is in the US or abroad, and you’ll represent this company to the top construction firms in America over years of calls and handshakes. · As for French- we’re a Quebec company, so it’s part of working here. · Real comfort with complexity- multi-entity, owner-led, fast-moving and the instinct to make order out of it rather than wait for someone to hand it to you · The ambition to build something and grow with it, not to settle into a roll that looks the same in ten years Compensation · Competitive salary at the top end of the industry range for candidates who bring the experience, expertise, and skill required to excel in the role · Benefits and an insurance program that genuinely looks after you and your family Exceptional room for advancement and growth Join us in this exciting role where your expertise will empower our organization’s growth!
