Positive Overview: As a Project Associate in our Vancouver Capital Planning Team, you will support and collaborate with Project Managers and Principals on a variety of capital planning projects. You’ll be immersed in a collaborative environment and gain hands-on experience in a range of project phases while representing Sense Engineering with a level of professionalism and dedication that sets us apart in the industry. General Responsibilities: Attitude: Exhibit a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team spirit. Take ownership of your work and focus on providing solutions. Marketing: Represent Sense Engineering professionally, building positive relationships with clients, contractors and other consultants. Knowledge Development: Enhance your understanding of structural design and analysis, building science, life cycle analysis and costing while sharing insights and lessons learned with the team. Technical Responsibilities: Perform site assessments and prepare technical reports, including Depreciation Reports, Warranty Reviews, and Building/Property Condition Assessments. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants to support efficient and timely project delivery. Represent Sense at client meetings and other networking functions with a commitment to exceptional service standards. Other duties as assigned/required. What We're Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a related field. Previous co-op or internship experience in the engineering consulting field is considered a strong asset. Registered with or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC). Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal). Good working knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Strong work ethic and attention to detail coupled with a client-centric mindset. Team player who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to creative thinking and approaching challenges from fresh perspectives, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the organization. Base salary range is $65,000 to $85,000 (commensurate with experience). This position is eligible for profit sharing bonuses based on company and individual performance, increasing the estimated total compensation range to $70,000 to $90,000. The Project Associate supports Project Managers and Principals in performing site assessments and preparing technical reports such as Depreciation Reports and Building Condition Assessments. They are also responsible for coordinating with clients and consultants to ensure efficient project delivery.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field and be eligible for registration with EGBC. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
