It handles bi-weekly payroll processing for multiple entities, reporting across Payroll, Finance, Benefits, and Compensation, auditing, year-end payroll, and special projects. A Day in the Life (What you will do here): * Perform day-to-day data entry and processing of routine, high-volume payroll transactions. * Assist with timesheet collection, review, and correction in the Workforce Management system, escalating discrepancies or exceptions to senior team members. * Support the preparation of documentation and files for audits and payroll special projects, as directed by senior payroll staff. * Participate in cross-training across payroll process areas to build broader payroll knowledge and support back-up coverage. * Assist with basic payroll reconciliations and journal entry support under the supervision of senior team members. * Process Off-Cycle payments when required. * Manage all required payroll records and ensure information is filed in a secured confidential area and archived in accordance with retention policies. * Year-end payroll activities including reconciliations, submissions, and distribution of T4, T4A and T2200, and any other payroll related forms including ROEs. * Additional duties as determined by your Manager. What you need to ensure you are set up for success: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, similar field, or equivalent experience. * 3 years’ experience in a payroll or related administrative role * Workday experience is a significant asset. * PCP Certification (in progress or completed) is preferred; candidates actively working toward PCP Certification are encouraged to apply. * Working knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with willingness to learn and ability to request assistance when necessary. * Strong ability to consistently meet deadlines and prioritize projects. * Superior interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. * Comfortable performing repetitive, detail-oriented tasks accurately and within deadlines. * Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) is required. The final base salary will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
