For more information, please visit our website at: http://svmrestore-hamilton.ca/ The Position We are looking for a full-time Carpenter/Technician who will be responsible for all aspects of renovations on residential and commercial losses and returning affected properties to pre-loss condition. This involves physical work, which would include but not be limited to carrying equipment and construction debris. Typical duties include, but are not limited to: Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and frames, all aspects of Drywall and painting. ServiceMaster is willing to provide training and industry specific certifications. Job Requirements · Communicate with a wide variety of people Knowledge of woodworking tools, methods of all aspects of carpentry Measure, cut, or shape wood and other materials using power tools Install interior and exterior structures and fixtures Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and frames Follow safety rules and regulations Maintain a safe and clean environment. Ability to lift up 50 lbs Maintain company equipment Ensure supplies and chemicals are properly stocked Maintain company vehicles (includes inspections, maintenance and cleanliness) Ensure all mitigation and drying equipment is being utilized to full potential The ability to follow blueprints and building plans Posses a valid Class G Ontario Drivers license with no restrictions Additional Requirements Able to operate a company-owned vehicles Willing to take part in on-call rotating schedule Able to work after hours and on Holidays when necessary Willing to submit personal information for a criminal background check Preference will be given to those with IICRC Certification or equivalent Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate offered will depend on skills and experience.
