Job summary
Founding UK BDR/SDR Business Development Representative (BDR / SDR) · UK, remote We're working with our client, a global live-streaming and video-technology business, as they build out their UK sales presence. They want one of the first people on the ground That means getting in early: shaping how outbound actually runs, building the pipeline yourself, and having a real say in how the UK operation grows. Founding-team influence, working closely with the leadership team. Their customers are production agencies, broadcasters, corporate media teams, event companies and anyone running serious live-video workflows across the UK, Europe and North America. The platform spans live streaming, video on demand, OTT, CDN, monetisation, secure video delivery and digital events. The Role This is a phone-led outbound role, first and foremost. You'll dig into target accounts, get senior decision-makers on the line, and turn those conversations into qualified new-business opportunities for the sales team. Day to day, you'll be: Getting senior decision-makers across the UK, Europe and North America on the phone Researching and targeting the accounts worth your time Opening conversations about live video, events and digital content Booking qualified meetings for the sales team Spotting live projects, contract-renewal dates and realistic buying timelines Getting to what a customer actually needs and qualifying the real opportunities Building the UK pipeline from nothing Feeding objections, competitor moves and market signal back to the wider team Who We're Looking For You don't need a video-tech background. What matters is that you can sell, you take a 'no' on the chin, and you pick the phone straight back up. You might be coming from: SaaS Recruitment Telesales or appointment setting Media or advertising sales Events or hospitality sales Subscriptions or membership sales Fundraising Any high-volume outbound sales floor You'll likely thrive here if you: Love the hunt and go looking for new business rather than waiting for it Are driven by targets, results and uncapped commission Can happily run high call volumes without flagging Hold your own in a conversation with a senior decision-maker Take objections in your stride and keep the conversation moving Will chase a good lead down and follow up more than once when it's worth it Pick up new products and technical concepts fast Stay organised and self-driven working remotely Don't mind flexing your hours a little to catch prospects in other time zones Why This One Is Interesting Because you're early you get real autonomy, direct access to the leadership team and the chance to define what good outbound looks like in the UK rather than inherit someone else's. It's the kind of role where your work is visible. Build the pipeline, create the revenue opportunities, and there's a clear runway to progress, What Success Looks Like Hitting your outbound activity targets, week in and week out Booking qualified meetings with the right decision-makers Finding businesses with real requirements and realistic buying timelines Handing over strong qualification notes for every meeting Following up properly and consistently Moving the needle on the client's pipeline and revenue
