Seed Sales and Marketing Support (Summer Intern)Manitoba Sevita International, a leader in the Canadian soybean market, is seeking a Seed Sales and Marketing Assistant to support the seed team with their customer service and advertising efforts. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales and marketing teams and report to the Sales and Product Manager in Manitoba. This position will allow for interaction and communication with technical and professional colleagues in Manitoba and Ontario, as well as with crop producers and agribusiness representatives, to provide students with a better understanding of soybeans in Manitoba. In this position, you will be a contributing member of the sales and marketing team with meaningful responsibilities. The selected candidate will gain valuable experience and developmental feedback through a paid, full-time summer position. This is an ideal opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in agriculture. Primary responsibilities: Assisting the sales team with sales activities, including seed deliveries and returns, field visits, field signs, sample pickups, and communication with growers and dealers. Assisting as needed with the planting of Sevita and dealer plots Sevita Soybean Summit tour site plot maintenance (mowing, weeding, etc) Support with the Sevita Soybean Summit tour implementation (end of July or early August) Coordinate and execute content creation efforts with the marketing team, including social media and customer newsletters. Increase Sevita’s marketing resources portfolio through photography, videos, and drone footage of soybean plants, fields, and events. Collect plot location and field information Update website content with plot data and variety information Attend and assist with meetings, plot tours, promotional events, and trade shows. Requirements
Applicants should have an interest in or be studying agriculture or agricultural business, be able to lift and carry at least 25 kg, and hold a clean-record G driver's licence with comfort driving long distances. They should be motivated, organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently and with a team, and comfortable using Adobe and Microsoft programs; agricultural experience and basic agronomic knowledge are assets.
