We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative - Calgary We're looking for a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales Representative to join our team. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this role is responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and providing technical expertise to support our clients across Calgary. This position combines technical knowledge with consultative sales, working closely with customers to understand their operational challenges and deliver tailored technical solutions. What We Expect? Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related technical field. Strong technical understanding of industrial automation, process control, instrumentation, electrical systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and motor controls, with the ability to translate technical requirements into customer solutions. 3+ years of technical sales experience selling industrial automation, instrumentation, electrical, drives, or control solutions. Strong understanding of customer applications and the ability to identify and recommend appropriate technical solutions. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Experience using CRM systems; Salesforce experience is an asset. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the region. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Roles and Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, opportunities, and account activities in Salesforce to support forecasting and reporting. Conduct weekly sales pipeline reviews to assess opportunity stages, identify gaps, and take corrective actions to maintain consistent progress toward sales targets. Collaborate with management to develop monthly and quarterly sales forecasts, using CRM analytics to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities. Manage and grow an existing account base by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities and delivering value-added solutions. Develop new business by identifying prospective customers, understanding their business needs, and promoting relevant products and solutions. Build strong relationships with new and existing customers by understanding their applications and providing tailored technical solutions. Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to customers and internal stakeholders. Work closely with Management, Service, Production, and Sales teams to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction. Provide accurate sales reports and market insights, including customer projects, opportunity status, competitive activity, and sales performance. Maintain high standards of customer service and responsiveness to build long-term customer relationships and trust.
