Location: Remote, Eastern Canada (Quebec, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Business Unit: Connection Technology – Shawflex Division Summary The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the Shawflex business across Eastern Canada. This role is critical to Mattr's continued success by expanding market presence, influencing product specifications, strengthening channel partnerships, and developing long-term customer relationships. Success in this position is measured through profitable sales growth, strategic account development, effective channel management, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers and key industry stakeholders while collaborating across the organization. Responsibilities Grow profitable sales within the assigned territory by developing relationships with end users, engineering firms, EPCs, contractors, OEMs, distributors, and key decision-makers. Drive product specifications through customer visits, meetings, presentations, and technical selling activities. Develop and execute regional sales plans and channel distribution strategies to achieve growth objectives. Manage assigned customer accounts and sales opportunities from qualification through quotation and order fulfillment. Lead distributor and Sales Agent relationships by providing training, coordinating joint customer activities, and supporting demand-generation initiatives. Collaborate with Inside Sales and internal stakeholders to strengthen customer engagement and ensure successful execution of sales opportunities. Prepare customer quotations in accordance with established approval processes. Gather, analyze, and communicate market intelligence related to industry trends, competitive activity, customer opportunities, and emerging market developments. Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information within the CRM system. Participate in regional and local trade shows, customer events, and industry networking activities. Prepare sales forecasts, market updates, monthly reports, budgets, and sales roadmaps for leadership. Coordinate sales projects, distributor programs, and customer initiatives while influencing stakeholders without direct authority. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, ethics, and corporate policy requirements. Travel extensively throughout the territory to support customer relationships and business growth. Qualifications College Diploma (3-year program) required; University Degree preferred. Minimum 3 to 5 years of sales and/or marketing experience; 5 to 7 years preferred. Experience within the wire and cable industry or a comparable technical market. Industry experience in electrical, automotive, or electronics sectors. Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken. Demonstrated success in technical selling, end-use specification, channel management, and account development. Experience managing distributors, Sales Agents, and complex customer relationships. Strong knowledge of sales planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and market analysis. Ability to influence engineering firms, contractors, OEMs, procurement teams, and key stakeholders. Experience delivering technical presentations and commercial proposals. Proficiency with CRM systems and business reporting tools. Strong customer-service orientation, relationship-building, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, lead through influence, and collaborate effectively across multiple business functions. Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout Eastern Canada. Candidates should have technical-market sales experience, fluency in written and spoken French and English, and demonstrated strengths in technical selling, channel and account management, forecasting, reporting, presentations, CRM tools, and frequent regional travel.
