Sheba Microsystems is seeking a driven, passionate, self-motivated, and enthusiastic Senior Camera Mechanical Engineer to join us as we bring our technology to market. It is a key position to design, test, and benchmark the world's most advanced camera systems. This is a chance to make your mark on the products that we will be shipping around the world. This is a permanent, full-time position, Location: Toronto, ON. Interested candidates are encouraged to send a full resume and cover letter to careers@shebamicrosystems.com Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the design and test of MEMS camera modules. You will be responsible for defining the camera module specifications and manufacturing requirements. You will be responsible for designing injection molded, sheet metal, PCB, and other component parts You are responsible for preparing detailed 2D manufacturing and inspection drawings You are responsible for performing rigorous tolerance analysis of module designs and component parts You will deliver design solutions, CAD models, detailed GD&T drawings, tolerance analyses, and engineering documentation consistent with guidelines. You are responsible to directing FEA engineers on evaluation of camera designs You will work with software engineers to calibrate and optimize the camera module. You will develop relationships with key suppliers of image sensors and miniature camera optics to enable the development of the cameras. You will contribute to our product plans with ideas for new products and improvements. Required Qualifications: You have a Bachelor’s, and/or Master’s /PhD in Mechanical Engineering. You have at least 5+ years of experience in mechanical design Experience in developing products from concept to mass production in an automotive environment. You have extensive experience in camera design and manufacturing. You have experience with 3D CAD software such as Fusion 360. You have extensive experience in validation, test, and characterization of compact camera modules. You have a proven track record in transitioning designs into mass production, ensuring rigorous quality control and reliability standards Fluent verbal and written English language ability, including technical language. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with quality systems i.e. ISO9001 / IATF16949. Familiarity with DFMEA techniques You have knowledge of optics and CMOS image sensors. Previous experience in mass production of camera module assembly. Previous experience with some camera module assembly and test equipment. Familiarity with MEMS packaging/enclosures.
