PART-TIME HANDYMAN / JACK OF ALL TRADES Shews Contracting is looking for a reliable, experienced handyman to join our growing team on a part-time basis, with the potential for additional hours as work increases. This position is ideal for a semi-retired tradesperson or someone who enjoys staying active, solving problems, and working with their hands. We are not looking for a Red Seal tradesperson. We’re looking for someone with a broad range of practical skills who can confidently tackle a variety of maintenance, repair, and renovation tasks. What You’ll Be Doing: General repairs and maintenance Basic carpentry Drywall repairs and patching Painting and touch-ups Minor plumbing repairs Minor electrical work (within regulations) Door, lock, and hardware repairs Property maintenance and odd jobs Assisting with small renovation projects What We’re Looking For: Experience in multiple trades or maintenance roles Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently Professional and respectful attitude with clients Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to travel throughout the South Vancouver Island area What We Offer: Flexible part-time schedule Competitive hourly wage based on experience Opportunity for additional hours as workload increases Variety of work with no two days the same Supportive, no-drama work environment If you’re the type of person who can fix just about anything and takes pride in quality workmanship, we’d love to hear from you.
