A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist to support plant operations and lead site-level EHS performance. This role offers the opportunity to own health, safety, and environmental programs, strengthen regulatory compliance, and play a key role in process safety within a fast-paced environment. The Role As the Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist, you will serve as the site subject matter expert for EHS and take ownership of the plant’s health, safety, and environmental activities. You will partner closely with plant leadership, employees, and contractors to drive compliance, continuous improvement, incident prevention, and support for the site’s EHS programs. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of site EHS programs and policies while serving as the local subject matter expert. Manage EHS performance metrics and provide reporting to senior leadership to support continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with provincial, local, and federal EHS regulations. Deliver EHS training to employees and monitor outcomes tied to site performance and compliance. Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and oversight of follow-through on site action plans. Support capital projects and new installations from an EHS perspective. Oversee and support the site’s Process Safety Management program and assist with onboarding and workers’ compensation matters as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Engineering, or a related discipline. 5+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety. Bilingual in French and English. Experience with Process Safety Management is considered an asset. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Ce poste offre l’occasion de prendre en charge les programmes de santé, sécurité et environnement, de renforcer la conformité réglementaire et de jouer un rôle clé en matière de sécurité des procédés dans un environnement dynamique. Le poste À titre de spécialiste en santé, sécurité et environnement, vous agirez comme expert(e) local(e) en matière de SSE et serez responsable des activités de santé, sécurité et environnement de l’usine. Vous collaborerez étroitement avec la direction de l’usine, les employés et les entrepreneurs afin d’assurer la conformité, l’amélioration continue, la prévention des incidents et le soutien aux programmes SSE du site. Responsabilités principales Diriger l’élaboration et la mise en œuvre des programmes et politiques SSE du site tout en agissant comme expert(e) local(e). Gérer les indicateurs de performance SSE et fournir des rapports à la haute direction afin de soutenir l’amélioration continue. Assurer la conformité aux réglementations SSE provinciales, locales et fédérales. Offrir des formations SSE aux employés et assurer le suivi des résultats liés à la performance et à la conformité du site. Diriger les enquêtes sur les incidents, y compris l’analyse des causes fondamentales, les mesures correctives et le suivi des plans d’action du site. Soutenir les projets d’investissement et les nouvelles installations du point de vue SSE. Superviser et soutenir le programme de gestion de la sécurité des procédés du site et participer à l’intégration des employés ainsi qu’aux dossiers d’indemnisation des travailleurs, au besoin. Qualifications Baccalauréat en SSE, en génie ou dans une discipline connexe. Plus de 5 ans d’expérience en environnement, santé et sécurité. Bilinguisme (français et anglais). Une expérience en gestion de la sécurité des procédés est considérée comme un atout. Excellentes aptitudes en collaboration et en communication.
