OVERVIEW · This position of Service Millwright reports to the Service Supervisor. · The Service Millwright will service, maintain, repair, install and commission shredding systems and associated equipment at customer locations and in-house, as scheduled by the Service Supervisor. · The Service Millwright is required to complete all necessary documentation supporting service visits, repairs, installations and maintenance and submit completed Service Reports to the customer and reporting office. · The Service Millwright will report all timesheets and expense sheets to their Supervisor in a timely manner. · The Service Millwright is responsible for all assigned tools and equipment, including service vehicles, service tools, parts stock, laptop computers, cell phones and supporting office supplies. RESPONSIBILITIES · Equipment installation, assembly, set-up, startup, commissioning and training at customer locations or in-house. · Service, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and associated equipment. · Work to acceptable Service standards, timelines and quoted objectives. · Adhere to ISO 9000 based quality procedures and work instructions. · Write detailed technical service reports outlining failure, cause and resolution. · Follow written scopes of work and verbal instructions necessary to complete assigned tasks. · Maintain accurate timesheets and expense records and submit them as required. · Perform MDS/Industrial/3R assembly and repair work as required. · Maintain service vehicle, tools, equipment and parts stock as assigned. · Responsible for parts consumed or installed into house orders or assigned repairs. · Assist with customer support and when required, help develop existing clients and solicit new business within the assigned region. · Responsible for all tools and equipment supporting Service Work, including cell phones, laptop computers, service vehicles and related equipment. QUALIFICATIONS · Education: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Millwright or equivalent. · Certified Millwright · Experience: 3 to 5 years of heavy industrial equipment assembly, maintenance or service experience. Experience with Recycling, Agricultural, Forestry, or Mining equipment will be an asset. · Computer Skills: Must be capable of communicating electronically with equipment and personnel as required. Electronic reporting is expected. SPECIFIC SKILLS, ABILITY & KNOWLEDGE · Working knowledge of blueprints, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. · Ability to weld and safely rig heavy equipment. · Ability to use forklifts and material-handling equipment and willingness to obtain certification when required. · Familiar with measuring tools and the safe operation of hand tools, including grinders, drills, mechanical saws, sanders, buffers, etc. · Able to fit and assemble mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components. · Able to receive job specific training and mentor or train others when required. · Follow and adhere to Shred-Tech’s quality systems procedures and work instructions. · Know, understand and follow safe working and material-handling practices. OTHER REQUIREMENTS · Must be willing to travel extensively as required and participate in on call Field Service duties. · Must hold a valid driver’s license. DZ/CDL license would be an asset. · Must hold or be able to obtain a Passport. · Must be willing to possess and use a company credit card for the purpose of expediting repairs, when required.
