You will help foster a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where residents can maintain their independence and quality of life. * Support the health, safety, and well-being of residents by monitoring incidents, ensuring appropriate follow-up. * Foster resident independence by collaborating with team members and departments to ensure appropriate services and supports are in place. * Build strong relationships with residents and families, facilitating communication, addressing concerns, and supporting families through changes in care needs, including transitions to higher levels of care or discharge when required. * Lead and support team members by coordinating schedules and work assignments, promoting compliance with policies and procedures, and fostering a collaborative, resident-focused team environment. * Support prospective resident assessments, admissions, and a smooth transition into the community. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, health-care professionals, and community partners to support referrals and admissions. * Ensure all required resident, operational, and financial documentation is completed accurately. * Promote a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, participating in emergency preparedness activities, and addressing workplace safety concerns. What You’ll Bring * A minimum of three (3) years of experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, retirement living, or a related health-care environment. * Comprehensive knowledge of the aging process, psychosocial and geriatric issues, resident and family dynamics, and the needs of older adults. * The ability to build trusting and positive relationships with residents, families, team members, and external health-care partners. * A demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork, collaboration, joint decision-making, and integrated care strategies. * The ability to lead, coach, and support team members while promoting accountability and a positive team culture. * Strong administrative and financial skills, including experience with scheduling, reporting, rent administration, collections, and service fee changes.
