Job summary
Company Description SilkRoute Online is a peer-to-peer trading platform for digital assets that connects collectors with complementary interests and executes trades through trustless atomic swaps. Every transaction is designed so both sides settle in a single operation or not at all, removing the need for escrow or intermediaries. The platform’s matching engine enables traders to exchange multi-asset bundles, including NFTs, editions, and tokens, and to negotiate via offer chains until both parties are satisfied. All trades are secured by Seaport, the settlement protocol relied on by major NFT platforms, providing a high level of trust and security. SilkRoute Online is built on Ethereum and Base, giving applicants the opportunity to work with leading blockchain technologies. Role Description The Senior Full Stack Engineer will design, build, and maintain core features of SilkRoute Online’s trading platform, spanning both front-end and back-end systems. This full-time, on-site role in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area involves developing secure, scalable services that power atomic swaps, matching engines, and asset bundle functionality. The engineer will implement user-facing interfaces, optimize performance, and collaborate with product and design teams to deliver intuitive, reliable experiences for digital asset traders. Responsibilities include writing clean, testable code, reviewing contributions from other engineers, integrating with blockchain protocols, and monitoring production systems to ensure high availability and security. The role also includes participating in architectural decisions, guiding best practices, and mentoring team members. Qualifications Strong Full-Stack Development and Software Development skills, with proven experience delivering production web applications. Proficiency in Front-End Development, including modern JavaScript frameworks and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for responsive, accessible UIs. Solid Back-End Web Development experience with scalable APIs, data models, and secure transaction handling. Experience working with blockchain or Web3 technologies (e.g., Ethereum, smart contracts, NFT platforms, settlement protocols such as Seaport). Comfort with modern development tools and practices (version control, CI/CD, automated testing, code review). Ability to design and implement system architectures that prioritize performance, reliability, and security. Strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional engineering team. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
