The company offers steady employment and the opportunity to build technical skills in a busy, suspension-oriented shop that has been in operation for the past 40 years. Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Truck/Tractor/Trailer Suspension Technician role located in Simcoe, ON. The Technician will inspect, diagnose, and repair suspension systems, LMT trailer brakes, and related assemblies on heavy trucks, light-duty trailers, pick-up trucks, buses and more. Daily tasks include performing routine maintenance, completing repair orders, using diagnostic tools and equipment, and following manufacturer specifications and shop procedures. The role involves collaborating with the parts manager, ownership and other technicians, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard of quality. The technician may assist with parts selection and inventory needs. Qualifications: Strong mechanical aptitude with experience servicing trucks, coaches, or other heavy-duty vehicles, including suspension and brake systems Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and manufacturer specifications Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively Knowledge of shop safety practices and willingness to follow all health and safety regulations Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented shop environment Completion of a Truck and Coach Technician apprenticeship or relevant trade certification preferred; equivalent experience considered Valid driver’s license; commercial or air brake endorsement considered an asset Physical ability to perform manual work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and participate in ongoing training
