The Opportunity The SAP Enterprise AI Architect is a senior leadership role with a dual mandate: lead our external Enterprise AI services for clients, and build and govern internal agentic AI capabilities that make SimpleFi a faster, smarter consultancy. You will partner closely with our existing leaders across Product Development, SAP Analytics Cloud Planning (SACP), and SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) to weave AI into how we deliver value to the Office of the CFO. This is a build-and-lead role for someone who can move fluently between executive strategy, hands-on architecture, and team enablement — and who sees SAP as the anchor of an enterprise AI strategy but is not constrained by it. What You Will Do Enterprise AI Services for Clients • Lead architecture and delivery of Enterprise AI engagements for SimpleFi clients, with a strong center of gravity in finance, FP&A, consolidations, and analytics use cases. • Translate CFO and finance-leader priorities into AI solution roadmaps — covering predictive forecasting, intelligent close, anomaly detection, narrative reporting, planning copilots, and agentic finance workflows. • Architect solutions across the SAP Business AI stack, including SAP Joule, SAP AI Core and AI Foundation on BTP, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Databricks. • Extend beyond SAP where it serves the client: integrate best-of-breed LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, open-source), hyperscaler AI services (Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex), and frameworks for RAG, vector search, and orchestration (LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, and similar). • Own end-to-end solution design, from data foundation through model selection, prompt and agent design, integration, evaluation, security, and operationalization (MLOps / LLMOps). • Act as the senior technical voice in pre-sales: shape proposals, lead client workshops, present at executive briefings, and represent SimpleFi at SAP and industry events. Internal Agentic AI Build & Governance • Define and own SimpleFi’s internal AI strategy — what we build, what we buy, and how AI gets embedded into our delivery, product development, and operations. • Build and govern agentic AI agents that accelerate consulting delivery, internal operations, and PlaniFi product capabilities, in close partnership with Product Development, SACP, and BDC leaders. • Establish responsible AI guardrails — data privacy, model selection criteria, evaluation, observability, auditability, and human-in-the-loop patterns appropriate for finance and enterprise data. • Create reusable accelerators, reference architectures, and frameworks the broader team can leverage on client engagements. Leadership & Enablement • Coach and uplift existing SimpleFi teams on AI concepts, tools, and patterns — without disrupting the strong delivery culture they already have. • Partner with Product Development on PlaniFi roadmap to identify and deliver AI-enabled features that differentiate SimpleFi’s offerings. • Stay ahead of SAP’s Business AI roadmap (Joule, Joule Agents, Business Data Cloud, AI Foundation, BTP AI services) and translate what matters into actionable plans for clients and the firm. • Contribute thought leadership through webinars, blogs, conference talks, and customer advisory engagements. What You Bring Required • 12–15+ years in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or AI/ML leadership roles, with significant time in the SAP ecosystem. • Deep, hands-on experience across multiple of: SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (including SAC Planning), SAP BTP, SAP AI Core / AI Foundation, SAP Joule, S/4HANA, and SAP Databricks. • Demonstrated track record designing and deploying production AI/GenAI solutions — including RAG, agentic workflows, LLM orchestration, evaluation, and LLMOps. • Working fluency with non-SAP AI tooling: major LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, open-source models), at least one major hyperscaler AI platform (Azure, AWS, GCP), and orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalents). • Strong grounding in data architecture, data products, semantic modeling, and analytics — ideally in a finance / FP&A / consolidations context. • Executive presence: able to lead CFO and CIO conversations, run technical workshops, and represent the firm in pre-sales, partner, and industry settings. • Track record of building or scaling a practice, capability, or service line — not just delivering projects. Preferred • Background in finance transformation, EPM, FP&A, or consolidations — or deep experience serving the Office of the CFO. • Experience embedding AI into ISV products or consulting accelerators. • Familiarity with responsible AI frameworks, NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, or comparable governance standards. • Relevant SAP and AI certifications (SAP BTP, SAP AI, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, hyperscaler AI/ML certifications) are valued but not required. • Prior consulting / SI experience with measurable contributions to growth, pre-sales win rates, or service-line P&L.
