Sinai Health is looking for a Clinical Research Assistant, Oncology. The Clinical Research Assistant is an integral part of the busy, dynamic, and growing Department of Oncology at Mount Sinai Hospital. In this role, you will be expected to exercise sound judgment and independence while managing the day-to-day administrative and research activities. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality customer service, applying excellent problem solving and communication skills to ensure the success of the department. In this role you will: Prepare Research Ethics Board and other regulatory submissions Assist in screening and recruitment of study participants in the outpatient clinic Coordinate study visits with supporting departments within the hospital Conduct data collection, data entry and query resolution for all study visits Develop source document templates and data collection instruments Collect patient data from the medical record for retrospective research projects Coordinate pick up and shipment of clinical trial specimens Support research students, research coordinators and research manager as needed Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required Job Requirements Mandatory Successful completion of a University Degree in a relevant field from an accredited educational institution Applicants with proven equivalent and related training and experience may also be considered Preferred Previous related research experience in a clinical setting Previous experience working in industry-sponsored trials Working towards or certified as a clinical research professional (e.g. SOCRA certificate) Skills and Knowledge Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required Strong work ethic; positive, client focused attitude; superior professionalism; dependability and reliability; demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service Superior written/oral communication and presentation skills; excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to effectively convey factual information and detailed explanations Excellent time management, organizational and self-planning skills displaying flexibility by adjusting work schedules according to changing priorities, meeting demanding deadlines and producing high quality work Demonstrated ability to make decisions, exercise good judgment, discretion and initiative when dealing with confidential information and/or in responding to inquiries Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance record If this sounds like you and you’re ready to build your career within clinical research, apply now and let us know why you’d be a great addition to our team.
