Sinai Health is looking for an experienced Physician Assistant, Obstetrics and Gynaecology to support our Ambulatory Gynaecology team at Mount Sinai Hospital. The Physician Assistant is an integral part of the busy and dynamic practice within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, in a tertiary referral centre in downtown Toronto. The Physician Assistant will focus on patients with gynaecological disorders and pelvic floor dysfunction. In this role you will: Assist with all team activities including outpatient/inpatient clinical visits and procedures Monitor and follow-up on patient lab/pathology Communicate and coordinate with patients about care Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required Job Requirements: Mandatory Successful completion of a Bachelor of Science Physician Assistant degree (BScPA) from an accredited educational institution Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program (recognized by the PACCC or NCCPA) Certified by the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC) or National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants in the US (NCCPA) Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) Preferred Graduate of the Consortium of PA Education's 'Physician Assistant Professional Degree Program' Graduate of the McMaster Physician Assistant Education Program Skills and Knowledge Superior organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and shifting priorities while maintaining high accuracy and customer service. Adaptable and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking, and dynamic environment. Proven ability to build interpersonal relationship; professional, diplomatic and confident in collaborating with individuals at all organizational levels Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion, make decisions and take initiative while working with confidential patient information and responding to patient inquiries. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to clearly define, articulate, and convey factual information and detailed explanations.
