What you'll do Explore new ideas to improve crop quality and yield through literature review and other resources Conduct crop maturity assessment, crop quality assessment, and crop harvesting logistics Design and conduct experiments to determine the effects of growing conditions on plant growth and expand crop recipes for our partner farms Monitor, record, investigate and identify problems with plant growth in the lab as well as the farm Perform farm operations (seeding, transplanting, harvesting), basic lab operations (sampling and analysis), and managing laboratory Report and assist CTO in on-going and ad hoc projects What you'll need Minimum Diploma or ITE in Plant Science, Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or related fields Experience in Data Analytics or related fields will be beneficial Experience in leading daily operation and research management of a technology-farm in a controlled environment with experience in remote sensing preferred Good communication and writing skills Good coordination / project management skills Able to plan and execute experiments with minimal supervision Able to take initiative to improve processes and troubleshoot problems Able to organize well and adhere to deadlines Preferably have experience or interest in farming or gardening environment Able to work independently with minimum supervision Full-time minimum 6 months required

Requirements

Candidates must hold a minimum of a Diploma or ITE in Plant Science, Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field. Strong coordination skills, the ability to work independently, and experience in research management or farming environments are highly preferred.
