Role Summary This senior role focuses on evaluating, assessing, and restoring existing building structures and enclosure systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects across BC climate zones. The position involves managing projects from concept to completion, client collaboration, contractor coordination, and site work on active construction environments. Successful candidates demonstrate strong client service, practical problem-solving, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities Technical & Project Delivery Manage projects from conceptual design through final completion, including budgets and client relationships. Conduct site investigations and evaluations of existing building structures and envelope systems. Develop rehabilitation programs and recommend project concepts to clients. Perform design, analysis, and upgrades for building components and envelope systems. Prepare reports, studies, retrofit drawings, and specifications. Coordinate with other engineering/architectural disciplines and administer contracts during construction review. Leadership & Business Development Lead and mentor small teams of professionals and junior technical staff. Maintain existing client relationships and pursue new business opportunities. Deliver first-rate client service with technical excellence. Qualifications Required Degree in civil engineering or materials science from an accredited university. Registered or eligible for registration as P.Eng. with EGBC (Engineers and Geoscientists BC). 10–15 years of building science and restoration experience, ideally in consulting. Experience supervising/mentoring 2–3 engineers or technical staff. Thorough knowledge of building enclosure design across BC climate zones and building types.
