GIS Manager Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Hybrid Employment Type: Full-Time About the Opportunity Skyline Recruitment is supporting a well-established multidisciplinary consulting firm in the search for a GIS Manager to lead and develop its GIS, CAD and data management capabilities. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who combines strong technical GIS expertise with experience managing people, developing standards and improving how project information is collected, managed, visualized and delivered. The successful candidate will support multidisciplinary teams working across areas such as environmental consulting, geotechnical engineering, hydrogeology and related engineering services. This would suit an experienced GIS professional who is ready to take greater ownership of a team, systems and workflows within a consulting environment. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor and support a team working across GIS, CAD and data management Establish and maintain GIS standards, procedures and quality-control processes Support environmental, engineering, geotechnical and hydrogeological project teams with mapping, spatial analysis and data requirements Oversee the organization, management and integrity of spatial and project data Identify opportunities to improve GIS and data-management workflows across the business Support the implementation and ongoing development of digital tools, databases and field-data systems Coordinate workloads and priorities across multiple projects and offices Work closely with project managers and technical teams to understand project requirements and provide practical GIS solutions Maintain consistency in mapping, data structures, templates and deliverables Help develop junior and intermediate team members Contribute to the ongoing improvement of internal systems, technology and processes What We’re Looking For Strong professional experience within GIS and spatial data management Previous experience leading, supervising or mentoring GIS professionals Experience developing or implementing GIS standards, procedures and workflows Strong working knowledge of ArcGIS / Esri platforms Experience managing geospatial databases and complex project datasets Exposure to CAD, data-management platforms or digital field-data systems would be beneficial Strong understanding of data quality, organization and governance Experience supporting environmental, engineering, geotechnical, infrastructure or multidisciplinary consulting projects is strongly preferred Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills Ability to balance technical responsibilities with team leadership and project demands Why Consider This Opportunity?
