Duties and Responsibilities Complete the mechanical design and testing of new development projects to execute On Schedule, On Margin and On Quality from concept to production. Produce product documentation; including schedules, parts, assemblies, drawings, analyses, specifications, etc. Support shipping products to ensure they continue to achieve expected customer experience and yield rates Improve the mechanical design reliability, robustness and repeatability through process development. Liaise with suppliers and service providers Any other reasonable activity required by leadership Education and work experience Degree in mechanical engineering (or related field) 7+ years of mechanical product development experience Experience with mid to high volume mechanical part manufacturing processes and methods (i.e. injection moulding, extrusions, die casting, etc.) Experience using CAD design software, CAE simulation tools and product data management tools (i.e. SolidWorks®, PDM) Experience using product lifecycle management tools (i.e. Oracle Agile) A valid passport or no impediment to obtaining one Supervision Working in a team environment with senior staff overseeing their work. Collaboration with other hardware engineers on large projects will be typical. Smaller individual projects are also expected. Additional Details Office and lab environment Valid passport and is able to travel to China and other Asian countries. 10% travel is expected.
