What you’ll do Coordinate the full employee lifecycle: recruitment support, offers, onboarding, changes, and offboarding Schedule interviews, post jobs, screen applications, and give every candidate a respectful, timely experience Run onboarding so new hires have equipment, access, paperwork, and a welcoming first week Maintain accurate employee records and data in an HRIS such as Workday, BambooHR, ADP, Ceridian Dayforce, UKG, or Rippling Support payroll with attendance, leave, benefits, and changes, working closely with payroll and finance Administer benefits enrolment and answer employee questions on coverage, leave, and policies Track leaves (parental, medical, vacation) and help managers and employees through the process Support compliance with provincial employment standards, human rights, health and safety (WHMIS, JHSC), and privacy obligations Prepare employment letters, contracts, and HR documents accurately and on time Help run engagement surveys, recognition programs, training sessions, and company events Build reports on headcount, turnover, hiring, and absenteeism that leaders can use Be a trusted, confidential first point of contact for employees and managers Improve HR processes, templates, and employee resources as you spot opportunities Find your level Level Typical experience What you’ll own HR Coordinator I - 0-2 years : Scheduling, onboarding logistics, records, document prep, and employee inquiries, learning with a dedicated mentor HR Coordinator II - 2-4 years : Owning onboarding, benefits, or recruiting coordination end to end, handling leaves, reporting, and training new coordinators Senior HR Coordinator - 4+ years : Leading HR programs and projects, advising managers on policy, supporting compliance and audits, mentoring the team Promotion criteria are written down at every level, with regular career conversations. Many of our coordinators have moved into HR generalist, recruiter, talent acquisition, HR business partner, and compensation and benefits roles. What you bring Must have Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to handle several priorities at once Excellent communication and a warm, professional way with people at every level Sound judgment and genuine respect for confidentiality Comfort with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially Excel or Sheets Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. We value judgment and reliability over pedigree. Administrative, customer service, recruiting, and volunteer experience all count Legal authorization to work in Canada (citizens, permanent residents, and valid work permit holders) Nice to have (not required) HRIS or ATS experience (Workday, BambooHR, ADP, Greenhouse, Lever, or similar) Knowledge of Canadian employment standards, human rights, and privacy legislation Progress toward or completion of the CPHR designation (we support it) Exposure to payroll, benefits administration, or leave management Recruiting coordination or campus recruiting experience Basic reporting or data analysis skills (pivot tables, Power BI) Experience in [tech, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, professional services, non-profit, etc.] Fluency in French, an asset for roles supporting Quebec employees or bilingual teams [if applicable]

Requirements
Requires strong organization, attention to detail, communication, judgment, confidentiality, and comfort with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially Excel or Sheets. A diploma or degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, sociology, or a related field—or equivalent experience—is required, along with legal authorization to work in Canada.
