Job summary
Smiles Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Canada and is looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Dance Instructor to lead two back-to-back recreational dance programs for adults (18+) this Fall. Fall 2026 Schedule 📅 Tuesdays, September 22 – December 15, 2026 13 sessions 📍Vaughan Grit & Grace: A Hip-Hop Fusion Experience: 7:45–8:45 PM Jazz Dancing: 8:45–9:45 PM Compensation: $60/hour Audience: Adults 18+ Format: Recreational and non-competitive About the Role These are community recreation programs designed to be welcoming and enjoyable for adults with different levels of dance experience. We are looking for an instructor who is energetic, approachable and engaging, and who can create a positive environment where participants feel comfortable learning, moving and having fun. The ideal candidate will have: Experience teaching Jazz and Hip-Hop/Hip-Hop Fusion Experience working with adults and mixed skill levels Strong communication and class-management skills Ability to adapt choreography for beginner and recreational participants Availability to teach both back-to-back classes for the full 13-session season Valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification Ability to meet the Vulnerable Sector Screening requirements Previous experience delivering recreational or community-based dance programs is an asset.
