Role Description The Dental Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Winnipeg, MB. This position is responsible for managing front-desk operations, including greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling and confirming appointments, and coordinating patient flow throughout the day, working with dental software and subsidiary patient outreach software. The role includes maintaining and updating patient records, verifying insurance information, processing payments, and preparing invoices. The Dental Administrator supports clinicians by organizing charts and documentation, coordinating referrals, and communicating treatment plans and follow-up visits with patients. Daily responsibilities also include handling inquiries, working closely with all departments, resolving basic patient concerns, supporting training and onboarding of new administrative staff, light housekeeping and contributing to a smooth and professional clinic environment. Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience in a dental setting with an understanding of basic dental terminology and procedures. Skills related to patient care, including professional communication, empathy, and the ability to support patients before and after treatments. Experience with administrative processes and practice workflows. Ability to collaborate effectively when working with dentists, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals. Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with dental or medical practice management software, electronic records, and general computer applications. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, scheduling, and billing.
