Your role : * Determine the extent of repairs and perform mechanical repairs accordingly by ordering necessary parts. * Adjust, repair and\or replace the defective parts manually or with appropriate tool. * Try the equipment repaired making sure repairs are performed correctly according to manufacturers’ procedures. * Clean, grease equipment and perform other required maintenance. * Respect the times established to make the repairs. * Inform the Service Supervisor of all the repairs required on the unit and of any concerns the customer may have. * Maintain a clean and safe working environment. * Write up time sheets and job descriptions on work performed. * Keep track of time and mileage on repair jobs. * Assure that old parts are disposed of properly and warranty parts are clean and stored in its proper place. * Tools are clean, kept in proper condition and place both in the shop and service vehicle. * Give estimates for repairs when requested by the customer. * Participating in training and upgrading both in-house and outside the company. * Provide after-hours service if required. * To perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor. What you bring : * Heavy Equipment Technician with Journeyperson certification * Minimum 3 years of experience in troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems. * Knowledge of Komatsu products would be an asset. * Advanced knowledge of computer software’s and working with a portable unit. * Hardworking, proactive, self-reliant, team worker and focused on customer service.
