SMS Equipment is looking for a Warranty Coordinator to provide technical and administrative support for warranty and service functions. This role is responsible for preparing and submitting warranty claims, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring claim deadlines are met, and supporting customers and internal stakeholders throughout the warranty process. Work Location: Acheson, Alberta. Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per annum. Work Arrangement: Hybrid, providing the flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week. Schedule: Monday to Friday. What You'll Do: * Prepare, write, and submit technical warranty claims while ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and accurate. * Review work orders and documentation to verify warranty eligibility, proper coding, and claim accuracy. * Ensure all warranty claims meet manufacturer requirements and are submitted within established deadlines. * Maintain work orders by ensuring required information and documentation are complete throughout the service process. * Communicate regularly with customers and internal stakeholders to obtain approvals, confirm warranty status, and resolve documentation issues. * Review completed work order documentation with supervisors and foremen to identify and resolve discrepancies prior to final sign-off. * Monitor claim approvals and payments, reviewing manufacturer credit notes to ensure claims have been processed correctly. * Prepare weekly reporting on outstanding warranty claims. * Open work orders and warranty claims, respond to customer warranty inquiries, and support WIP reconciliations and credit processing activities. * Participate in warranty training programs and support continuous improvement of warranty administration processes. What You Bring: The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting a field service environment and possess strong organizational and analytical skills. A minimum of 2 to 3 years of warranty analysis, fleet management, or related experience is preferred. Other requirements include: * Strong analytical and process-oriented thinking. * Understanding of work order flow and processing within an ERP system. * Ability to understand basic mechanical systems. * Previous dealership experience is considered an asset. * Ability to obtain Komatsu Claim Administrator Certification. * Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, email, SAP, and other electronic systems. * Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. * Strong time management, prioritization, and attention to detail skills. * Experience in a mining or industrial office environment is considered an asset.
