The Smurfit Westrock Mississauga facility is looking for a Flexo Helper Starter to work with the Press/Printing team on the night shift. This position is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the printing press. How you will impact Smurfit WestRock: * Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all safety policies. * Obtain and understand production docket according to print schedule. * Ensure all appropriate supplies are at the press – ink, plates, stock, etc. * Assist Pressman in the mounting of plates, sleeves, anilox rolls, die if applicable. * Comply with all SOP’s and Quality Procedures. * Cleaning of ink chambers. * Changing anilox blades. * Topping up ink chambers with fresh ink. * Perform other duties as assigned. What you need to succeed: * Minimum of 1 year experience working in a manufacturing or production industry * Experience working with Radius and Microsoft Office (ie. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) considered an asset. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to stand and walk 100% of shift on a concrete floor and ability to lift 40 pounds. * Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals. * Must be able to maintain good attendance. * Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods. * Shift premiums apply to afternoon and night shifts.
